The Adoption Center of Washington is proud to be the sponsor of Li Qun, a nanny at the Baby Sisters Infant Nurture Program at the Hefei Children's Welfare Institution. Through the Half the Sky Foundation we are able to provide Ms. Qun with employment and training to work as a nanny for this orphanage. Because of the overwhelmed and often, under trained staff, the babies in the orphanage do not receive the quality of care and attention that is so critical in their early development. Li Qun is one of many nannies who are trained to provide 3-5 babies with a nurturing and loving environment while in the orphanage. They provide the babies with warm cuddles, eye contact, talking and holding in order to nurture their growth and development. The babies in her care will reside at the institution until their placement with a family. Li Qun writes about her job as a nanny,
